Ninja - GREAT info. I didn't know some of those existed! In other news, I just had a customer's piece turn up. It's yet another Australian native with the yellow dial/black ring. Another vote for this being a legit variation. 1. You are in good company not knowing the high-quality women's products of the '60s & '70s from Seiko. I was on a 36000 collectors forum where the owner had stated that there were NO women's hi-beat 36K watches ever made & I had to correct him & showed everyone the kind of things I put in above. 2. Your 6139 could well be legit. Unless we have EVERY Seiko catalog from every year & every market segment, it would be hard to firmly conclude either way, so we should keep an open mind. We had a similar quandry on Dr. Seiko over dials of certain early/mid '60s dress & WP items Most had radial texture lines, but a few showed up with parallel vertical lines. We had a bit of debate on whether the vertical line examples were re-dials or originals. As we didn't have sufficiently good "source documentation" we used anecdotal info (especially from members in Japan who had gotten some of those vertical types in Japan & with reasonably good provenance to conclude they were likely "real"). I speculated that Seiko (or a dial supplier for them?) did vary the painting techniques over the years of production of those models.

This one also came today. It's a 6119-8031 from August, 1968. I have bought quite a few of these early 61xx dress-type watches, and am always happy with them. I like to find them on their original bracelets, like this one. It came dirty and not running very strong, but I love these blue dials. Most of these are white, silver, or gray, and they made a goldtone version with a gold dial. The "coin edge" bezels are cool as well...very 1960s. It needed a crystal refinish, a good ultrasonic cleaning, another bracelet link, new seals, and I swapped in another 6119B I had that ran better.

I got this today...straight outta Japan! It's a '72 6139-7060. The dial looks black/gray in the pics, but it is very hard to photograph. Think bright brushed stainless steel with a clear coat over it. Amazing! I don't think I have seen this dial before. Never seen that dial either. Love it. The bracelets on the 706x series are fantastic.

Owner of that site refuses to allow links to other sites on his now, so I refuse to advertise FREE for him!! The one on the left looks like it could be your color scheme.

Arrrrghghhh.. Bad news. I got this today, with the intention to sell it, but it's just so nice, and in original condition. I don't know if I can bring myself to part with it. I do have another that is absolutely mint, so technically I'd be hoarding. It just needs some pushers, a crystal, service and clean. Also got this pretty cheap. The intention was a scrapper, but I think I'll clean, service and resell it. Needs the second hand fixed up and a very thorough clean/service + new crystal.

Just received these two. A Felicia DeLuxe 25 jewel (these are a long dead Australian native brand, OEM Swiss movements, cased here), and a very nice 7006 with silver dial and BOR bracelet. I only got it for the bracelet which is going on another project.

Not a Seiko, but I did get a military issue Stocker and Yale P650 Navigator today. Popped up as a BIN at a great price. They didn't make many of these, one production run in '95, one in '99, and one in '00. This watch is from the April, 2000 run. SandYs of this type are not often seen...especially NOS. They were mostly issued to special forces personnel, and are the "real deal" version of similar civilian watches made by Traser and Luminox under royalty agreement to S&Y. I had the even rarer stainless steel version, called the SandY P660, on it's original bracelet and also NOS years ago. From what I understood it was mostly high ranking officers that got those. I foolishly sold it to finance an Omega Speedmaster Automatic.

My latest, not much to brag about... Been on a self imposed watch buying slowdown lately. Have a rekindled interest in digital pieces. Saw this Citizen pop up for low BIN and decided I liked it. Sort of a silly watch, not sure what use a 24 hr rotating tide bezel is, but hey I like the way it looked. (Do tides occur in regular 6 hour intervals...?) Cant find any info on this model, like original band or strap... Will probably will get a citizen 20mm rubber for it.

Just received this one back from Spencer. It's was one of my Dad's watches that I inherited. I had no idea what it was and it sat in a drawer for many years until I looked it up on the web. It's actually a Heuer watch that was made by Heuer and sold under a private label. It's the Pasadena model but sold under the LeJour brand. It has the Valjoux 7750 movement. It hacks and hand winds. Spencer can elaborate but based on our messages, he seems pretty impressed with the quality. If anyone is interested, Spencer took a bunch of pics during the disassembly and I can share that link if he's OK with sharing them. Spencer did a full disassembly and service along with a re-lume of the dial and hands. He also cleaned the dial but the case was left as is, warts and all! It got new pusher and case back gaskets but we had to leave the crown gasket and crystal gasket as original. Only one part ($25) had to be replaced and there was a small amount of rust inside but that was all taken care of so it's now back to 100% and it should last for a long time now that it's been serviced. I'm not sure when the watch was made but I think it's a great looking watch. Thanks for looking!

Just got this. Got it for beer money because of a bad image. I actually mainly got it for spare links on the oval bracelet, but it's so nice I don't want to strip it!
