I have managed to pick up several vintage Seikos with blue dials or ones with blue accents. These are just a few... under that terrible scratched up faceted crystal is this gorgeous dial... This one came from Cobrajet about 9 years ago! it was a non runner but the fix was easy. A basket case... this was a Ramon treasure. The dial was encrusted in what looked like brine. I removed whatever it was with dish detergent and a toothbrush. Underneath the crud is this deep, deep blue colour. It changes with viewing angle from black to deep space blue but ti isn't a starburst pattern; it just changes colour seemlessly. Pretty cool. Too bad pictures don't let you see that. This near new and all original watch... Same watch as the first pic but a beat up example on a leather strap. I'm not a fan of the newer blue dials like on the Monsters. Seiko seems to have forgotten how to make those gorgeous old dials

Just appreciating your excellent tastes I see you have two that I do. One of them I have shown but the other is the same as your square watch. Mine has a beautiful 6106 movement in it.

My square watch doesn't get enough wrist time. I have scratch issues.

No one does blue like Seiko, except Rolex.
Blue Air Kings are insanely gorgeous.

Some of mine!! Seiko does a wonderful job with blue!! LM Special models: the "honeycomb" dial under the (unfortunately) scratchy original faceted crystel. OK, that's what the dial would look like with a clean crystal!! a 2559 "Queen Seiko" movement in a unisex case!! Actually, I think these were sold as Men's watches back in the day ... see the catalog scans I put into another thread. a 6106 Advan with a blue "meteorite" dial. Obligatory 6119 shot!! 7S36 Homage "desk diver" Thian should remember the following shot!! nice job on that one!! And this homely little thing ... it was a B-day present from a friend here who told me he was giving me his "problem" for my B-day: OK, I'll stop there & not go to the Chronograph folder to get more!! But, I will show you that Orient did a nice job on blue too! OK, well sorry for the crappy cellphone shots Now, how about: someday, we do a Catseye thread??? Seiko did very nicely on those too!

Also got these: 1. KS VANAC Special 5256-5000 OK, well - like the Orient I showed before, maybe it's a blue-green?? And 2. my better Bellmatic: Other than those (and the 1st batch) - it's Chronographs!! Now - just started a Cat's Eye / Tiger Eye thread for everyone! Next?? How about a Seiko "Starlight Dial" thread?? I have one of those & they are cooooolll!!

Some really beautiful dials!
My only blue is my 6139 and that often tends to look more of a REALLY dark blue to more of a black color. Still love the watch though!
