I find for me that mesh is hefty but comfortable, attractive but not overpowering, and definitely adds a vintage sensibility to more than just divers. Post 'em up. PA190227 by vinylgreek, on Flickr

That's a good looking 6 pack of watches! I like the looks of mesh so maybe one of these days I'll look into one.

I would put more watches on them if I could find some milanese in the proper width and with deployants that didn't cost an arm and a leg.

I've been wanting to try a mesh, but looking at all the options for sizing its hard to guess which make the most sense for fit and comfort and looks and ultimately cost without experimenting. but then again, maybe it doesn't matter that much.

The Helson came with a short piece (about 5 chain links in length) and the buckle has a few micro-adjustments. The others required a pair of dykes to cut away two rows of links. Easy peasy. Some of the more expensive ones come with removable links of various types.

I'd like to try one too but with my bad luck in sizing bracelets I'd probably fusk it up!

Mesh is very comfortable, some bracelets have removeable screwed links close to the clasp, others you have to snip off rows of links with side cutters to adjust to your wrist size. Either way is easy....a fe examples: Let's chat about this for a minute... I have been wanting to try one as well, but I get confused while shopping and then just blow it off. What is "shark" mesh? Is it better or just different? Do I want an end link, or does the spring bar just slide through the mesh? I have a 6.5" wrist, so how do I shorten the bracelet? When I see the supplier offer sizes, how is the size calculated - installed on a watch or just the raw length of the uninstalled bracelet? Thanks guys.

I think that shark mesh refers to the fact that the material is the same as used in shark mesh protective suits for divers, so the bracelets don't really differ despite the name, which is a bit of marketing hype IMO.
There are also the bracelets described as Omega or Ploprof mesh which have the links smoothed or flattened as seen in Jimmy's pic above of his TST. A genuine Omega bracelet is very expensive but there are a host of Ebay sellers selling the same products that originate in HK or China for vastly different prices, so be careful where you shop. I have paid as little as £15 for one and up to £50 for another and there is almost no difference between them.

Nice watches on mesh!
I wanted to try one and pulled the trigger on a shark mesh, the one with just open chain like ends. No linked segments, just one whole length. My wrist is 6.5 inch and I need to shorten it. I tried the usual metal cutter but the thing is too d*mn tough to cut!
How do I size this without demolishing the links and without investing in a Dremel? Help pls.
