Just managed to pick up this Silver Dialed 6139 - these chronos are hard to find! I have the parts needed, so hopefully there are no additional surprises in the case. Here are the seller's pics - the first pic was the main listing pic! I'm especially jazzed the bracelet is still attached. More photos upon arrival. Dan

Awesome, I saw that one listed. I am glad I was able to pick one up years ago for a good price..... Hard to find indeed. Beautiful. Yours is a -6002, correct? Is the day in English/Roman? From what searching I have done it seems the majority of the silver dialed 6139-600x watches fit the above criteria. I've been looking for a while - there was that one BIN that went by that I sadly missed and I think I bid on another until the price got away from me. This one petered out just below my max bid. Dan

Congrats mate that should clean up nicely I'd love to find one with a dial that's in better condition than the one I have, but they're not exactly common are they

Dan You are correct, Sir. 6139-6002 from October 1971. English/Roman day. Can't WAIT to see the overall condition of the one you just got. I'd of been all over that like white on rice if I didn't already have one.

Dang Dasher, You grabbed that one right out of my clenched fist. :imok: I see at least 3 forum members, if not more were bidding on it. At least one of us got it! Guess you'll have to wait Tim. I was eying that one for restoration project that I was going to offer up to you after completion. I'll continue to keep my eyes peeled. Can't bare to part with any of these......

Nice grab. Hmmmm....Stelux bracelet and Roman daywheel. I'll bet it's from Oz? That's what a bit of my research at the SCWF revealed. Older posts I think even from Spencer point to seller(s) in Australia. The seller told me this one came from the estate of a WWII vet. This watch certainly didn't see any action in the Pacific, but I'd like to think the original owner lost the crown and tossed it in his sock drawer. Here's a photo of that $125 BIN that I mentioned in one of my earlier posts in this thread: Makes my chest clench up every time I think about missing this BIN.... Dan

The silver dial 6139 arrived today. It was FILTHY. Here are a few pics of it post clean-up:
The good and the bad: it's finally here. The bad, the day isn't jumping properly, the chrono isn't resetting exactly to 0 (but I've only tried it once, so let me check again). The bracelet is about 2 links too short. I think I have some in a box somewhere...
Back to work!

I have a silver proof dial 6139-6000 but the dial is pretty much toast. Sucks monkey balls!
