Okay, lets move on to the third tidy bundle... And for the sake of brevity, we'll skip the "plastic storage box" pictures, and move right to... It's a watch! :-D And it looks like an old Seiko! In fact it is a 1968 Seiko Lord Matic Calendar, model 5605-7020, with a 25 jewel, automatic, hacking movement, running at 21600 bph. Considered a high-end movment for the late 1960's, but it does have the dreaded plastic clutch for the quickset date A nice dial and interesting hands too, but to be honest, I bought this one for the cool, funky bracelet!! :-D The crown side... The other side... The nice clean case back... And the last shot for this watch, the unusual clasp. Okay, we are halfway done! Only three more to go! :-O Please look for further postings, "Seiko Package Deal 2d", "Seiko Package Deal 2e" and so forth, okay? Thanks for clicking in! - Thomas

RE: "Considered a high-end movment for the late 1960's, but it does have the dreaded plastic clutch for the quickset date..."
Well, I would be careful of that statement. If we review things with Seiko technical data, I think we have to say that it is a high-middle or low-end of the high quality spectrum.
The 560x movements were made to a Men's "C" accuracy grade, while the LM Special (5206, 5216) from Daini were "B". Suwa then came back with the LM Deluxe using 562x movements just as in the King Seiko & non-KS marked "Certified Chr5onometer" models (which were made to an "A" grade). The entry-level Grand Seiko was "AA" while GS Special was "AAA", and finally, the VFA (at the very top-end of the production watch hierarchy) was "AAAA" with a 2 year performance warranty to the owner. I do have charts of these I got years ago, and here's a bit of the statistics from a Mean Daily Rate {MDR} perspective:
Men's grade & MDR =
C (-15 to +25) B (-10 to +15) A (-6 to +9) AA (-3 to +6) AAAA (-2 to +2)

Thank-you for the guidance Ninja, I am still learning (slowly!). I think I meant to say that the 56xx movements were considered high-end at the time (mid to late 60's). But your comment is well aimed, what I said was misleading. My bad! Thank you again for keeping me on the path, man! - Thomas
