On this 8203 movement by Citizen there were three levels of quality on these movements, the one in my Auto Zilla is the high end of the 8203, in that Citizen made sure the rotor was a lot heavier that a standard 8203 movment rotor not sure why. This Auto Zilla I recently purchased was from 2009 and has a very heavy rotor to the point where I get rotor wobble much like the Valjouz 7750 although not as pronounced. This would generally be a boring post to some but I have never had rotor wobble with a very much standard Citizen 8203 movement.
Has any other owners noticed this.
The movement screws were blued on Citizens premier watch for the day. I'm really enjoying having one back in the barn.

Hi mate. Have never noticed any rotor effect when on my arm, some when shaken by hand but not autozilla. Can you please show me what needs to be done to the watch to fit Jurgensen mesh strap. Cheers Phil

Very interesting about the different caliber grades. That's what ETA does with their movements, like the ubiquitous 2824- or Valjoux 7700 series. Different companies that use their movements buy different grades, from 1 (lowest) to 5 along the way.
Anybody know for sure if the Citizen/Miyota 8200 caliber came in differing quality grades too? Not meaning the 8200/8203/8210/etc. variations, but different degrees of engineering/performance under the same caliber number like 8200?

I will get hold of Citizen AD in the USA and ask the question and hopefully get some hard evidence, I'm on the trail.
