I've demoted this clunker, a Dec '65 6619-9990 to beater status. I really should have sent it back when I first got it, but after much swearing, I fixed the loose rotor, removed the case back gasket that had disintegrated into the movement, and got it running to a very acceptable level (+1sec/hr at the moment, we shall see). I can live with the incorrectly fitted crown/stem that means the date is set every time the time is set . I almost sound like I know what I'm doing ! So, for work: And the 66 based Seikolex tonight. Everything except dial and hands from May '69.

Sticking with this one for another day.... I love that I consider myself lucky to have found it so quickly. I saw Yorkiesknobs' and immediately looked for one. Had it within a week of my initial exposure. Love when I see a watch I didn't know existed.
