Geday, I came across this today, while not a brand new thing, I had a look at the movement breakdown and it appears to be an evolution of the 7016/7017. You can tell by the balance, barrel and also the way the hammer system works. I've noticed some of the microbrands and even some of the slightly larger brands are starting to deploy them. They are a hi-beat movement. Anyone that's into this stuff, have a study of the tech guide. www.timemodule.com/sii/index.php?route=product/category&path=0_61#product_NE88

That is extremely interesting!
It's definitely built on the core of a 7xxx movement, but I'd say the complications are way more.. complicated. Obviously, the 7017 doesn't have any kind of minute-counting facility, and the 7018 only has the 30-minute register. This is whole 'nother thang, as they say around here.
I am super excited though. Fantastic.
What's the price point?

That's pretty thick. How thick is a 6138? I'm guessing the SII NE88 is a modular chronograph (chronograph module sitting under a 6R15 with 28,800 bph escapement.

Yeah the heritage is really clear. I like it. It's not another 7750. My materials house doesn't have them so I'm not sure. They don't have any of the NE series yet but carry the NH series + a zillion other quartz movements. That is extremely interesting! That's pretty much what it is. So more like the 6138/6138 used to be. The chrono sitting in a 61xx framework. That's pretty thick. How thick is a 6138? I'm guessing the SII NE88 is a modular chronograph (chronograph module sitting under a 6R15 with 28,800 bph escapement.

So to buy a single NH26 (7s26), it'll cost you $110.00 AU. So I'm assuming the NE88 movement alone would probably be quite a bit more than that.
