Better photos, including case back OK, those new shots help a lot!! Interesting case-back with the Whale or Dolphin (which is said to mean "Water Proof/Resist Men's Automatic"). I note that case-style# is -89 80 so NOT the (seemingly more commonly seen -8990). I really like those Whale/Dolphin backs, have a few on my -6218, 6206, and 6216 calibre models!! This is my most impressive looking one: Your front shot does confirm what was said earlier, you are indeed missing the bezel. Hopefully you can find a nice SGP replacement. Also, I guess the dial outer chapter/ring is in rather poor shape too!! Seikomatic archives does indeed show an SGP -8980 and the outer chapter is white/silver with black printed lines. So, I guess yours is in rough shape. But for US$30, that's not bad if the movement is in nice shape!! Have you opened it up to see??? Those 6206's have gold color (not sure if just gold-colored or real gold plating though) plates!! Here is a shot of it's ancestor, the cal. 400:

Hi. I have a stainless version and dial is probably worse. Internal chapter ring is good but someone tried to clean the dial, his hands should be chopped off so that he can never do this again. It seems to be a problem with white dials from this era as I have several others with same problem, I wonder if there was a fault in the factory or materials. Your example is missing an external bezel. Cheers Phil

That's an unusual caseback with the decagon sides, very nice. The bezel's also missing unless you've removed it?

Better photos, including case back JMHO...I would wear that bad boy just the way it looks. Great looking, honest old watch!
