about value/price and scarcity. I have phone conversations from time to time with a Forum friend here and of course during such calls the subject is 99% watch talk and yesterday was no different. One of the watches we discussed was my 6106-6439. (Said watch) I was told that this particular model and its color combo was one of the scarcer models in the series and in the condition it was in could be (depending on condition) quite valuable!? Can anyone shed a bit of light on this? This is NOT a precursor to a possible sale but is rather for my own general info. TIA

Certainly an unusual combo, and I speak from a position of interest rather than knowledge, but it looks like an original bracelet, which again is a more unusual design. These models have not received the attention of some of the other 70's designs - probably due to their 'space age' feel. Are you sure that this watch is all original ? The insert looks a bit 'dodge' to me, but Im not sure...Best place to check is the old catalogues...[but ]If it is 100% then most of these 70's sports watches are increasing in value recently, but as I said, the more 'unusual' does not necessarily equate to the more valuable - just wear and enjoy!

To the best of my knowledge it is 100% original but I dont think the bracelet is original to the watch! From my understanding it originally came on a Razor which I have but dont care for so much on this watch.

Is that the San Diego craigslist tresure you picked up several months ago? Anyways I think it is a cool looking vintage watch and whatever the current market value is I think it will increase in value.

The crystal was more or less trashed but I bought a new one for it and had it installed and at the same time I had Tom do a quick but nice re-finish to it! Looks awesome to me! JMO

If it's had a light refinish . . . . is it still 100% original?

If it's had a light refinish . . . . is it still 100% original? In my way of thinking the answer to that would have to be YES. No parts have been changed out and its still the original body! That of course is JMO

In my opinion, if the polished surfaces had had a "clean" with autosol or a light metal polish to remove SCUFFING ONLY and the brushed surfaces have had a light rub to re-accentuate them then yes, it is original finish. If it's been polished to a high lustre and the sharp edges on the case are gone, and it has that "philippine refurb look", then no, it's not original condition. If it's had a light refinish . . . . is it still 100% original?

From my observations Rene, this color combo is the rarest of this series of sport divers and when they do come up for sale usually go upwards of $200. Although they did come on a razor bracelet the bracelet you have on there now is also an original style bracelet.
