I had this watch posted on the sales section but it is now sold, so I thought to share the project and a few pics. This is a Dagaz Blue Explorer put together using a brand new Seiko SRP265, Dagaz blue FFF dial and Mercedes hands. This is a step up from the usual Seiko base models because this model has drilled through lugs which make changing strap easy, it also has a really nice large crown and make it easy to hand wind the movement, which is also hackable. It also has a nice finish and great size. The bracelet is also good quality not the folded rattling type. The specs of the watch as far as I can tell are: 40mm in diameter 20mm lugs drilled through lugs for ease of strap changes see through caseback good quality bracelet 4r36 movement that hacks and handwind Dagaz FFF blue dial Dagaz Mercedes hands I thought that the size and low profile would make this a great candidate for a field watch so I decided to install this dial and hands in the hope of getting an ultimate Explorer. Not sure if I reached the goal but I think that the resulting watch looks great. The watch was just sold, since I had to replenish my watch funds, but here are a few pics showing the beautiful blue color of the dial. Sorry for the dust specs and occasional lint.

Thank you for the kind words guys. I found this model Seiko and similar to be well made, practical and good looking. Nicely sized and great for field type applications.
