Was catching up on some Pawn Stars episodes last night and saw this on the wrist of the son as he was looking over some skateboard stickers someone was trying to sell. He seems to always have a different watch on, even throughout the same episode. I'm sure he just grabs whatever is looking good out of the case and tries it out. Pretty cool. Wifey just loves it when I geek out over a watch someone is wearing on TV.

I saw the very same episode and wanted to grab a pic but sadly my remote on this TV doesnt have a pause button on it like my old one had! I have even seen Rick wearing a Seiko diver from time to time!

I was starting to think that its a bit sad to be taking pics of the TV when you're watching Pawn Stars and spot a Seiko... Then I remembered this pic I took about a year ago when Rick was negotiating on a Dale Earnhardt signed tire and wearing what appears to be a 7002 - It's a good show for watch spotting. Rick seems to wear a different Rolex each week and his son is usually sporting a AP Royal Oak Offshore so its good to see that they are actually into watches and not just the big Swiss 'labels'.

so its good to see that they are actually into watches and not just the big Swiss 'labels'. I was going to post the same thing this morning. It must be like a kid in a candy store seeing all of the big name watches come into the store and you have a free range of the case to test drive any watch you want in the store. I remember back in 2000 I was down in Gulfport, MS and across the street from the casinos was a fancy pawn shop. I was inside looking at the watches and the owner let me try on a Rolex Masterpiece. What's a Rolex Masterpiece? About $30K at the time (now seem to be in the neighborhood of $40K to $75K) I remember an episode or Law & Order Criminal Intent a few years later where Goren points out that some local Sheriff from a podunk town was wearing a Rolex Masterpiece (obiciously on the take) and it brought back memories of my experience. It is nice to see that Corey "Big Hoss" is hopefully humble enough to be seen wearing a poor mans watch.

It's starting to get to the point that they really aren't a true "poor man's watch" anymore. Here is what may be a slightly better picture... IIRC, the guy wearing the 7xxx in the other episode where the tire was being sold was the guy who was SELLING the tire, not one of the Pawn Stars. Those guys can wear any watch they want...nice to see a 6309! That one looks pretty nice, but seems to have seen a lot of Vegas sun!

I was starting to think that its a bit sad to be taking pics of the TV when you're watching Pawn Stars and spot a Seiko... Well, I actually didn't take a pic of the TV. After seeing it on TV I found the episode in my cable provider's online On Demand listings, opened and played the episode on my cell phone, paused at the right spot, and took a screen shot. (which may be even sadder... lol)
