Bargain beater for work. This one was a disappointing wreck bought from the bay, and given to PollyC for spares. Instead it came back restored, and now it's one of my favourites. No need to know day or date tonight, so I shall wear it for dinner with friends.

Sporting my 6139-7012........... Nice watches, so far this one is my favorite. I don't lust after many 6139's these days, this is one of them. Got the old 6139-6030 on today after seeing jim's yesterday

Waiting on a few refinements but it's mostly there. Very nice! Did you buy that one complete, or put it together?

I don't work on my own watches [ I'd rather do my own dentistry ]so I rely on the good will of some of the great members here to do my watch fettling. Got my 6138-0030 on today, sporting a new crystal fitted by Tony, cheers dude you're a good bloke

Waiting on a few refinements but it's mostly there. Very nice! Did you buy that one complete, or put it together? It came head-only from Jonathan's estate courtesy of Shawn, looking rough & missing the crown / stem too. I've been working on it at night, after the work day, after family time, on my own time. Jonathan had, at some point, wrapped the head in scotch tape. Which degraded so that the plastic tape part fell off and left the adhesive behind. So the watch was covered with tape adhesive and looked a lot worse than it actually was. Dial surface is OK, a little scratchy, but the lume is original, as is the crystal. Case is great, as is the bezel. I swapped in the bracelet and a less faded indicator ring. Still not sure about the ring.

Sporting my 6139-7012........... That was the last time you and I scrabbled over a watch. I lost out in earlier bidding on that one, but I don't think you paid a mint for it. NICE watch, unusual piece, always nice to see it.
