Today at the Pawn Shop... More Citizens

Stopped in a fave I haven't been to in a couple weeks. They always have a ton of watches, this is the shop I found the Doxa in.

Looked at and handled 3 Citizens.... Have you ever bought a watch you already own, because the price is good? Sure you have. I'm not the only sick one. Went home with this one:




The first thing I check as soon as a watch comes out of the case is the price on the sticker. Most often they are way overpriced, which automatically means it's not even worth trying to make a deal, sometimes they are not. The sticker on the Orca said $99.99, so I knew I could deal. Got it for $79.






I was very close to trying to strike a deal on one of these, in decent used shape but the band is smallish. after searching around a bit on this model I may just go back: (borrowed pic)

That was definitely a good price!
Years ago I just had to have one so I got one used for $65.00
When it arrived I dis-liked it so much I flipped it the very next day.

Those.... "  Carbon Fiber " ones are really great. A bit heavy but very good.

I like big watchs the most.

I have three of them, but one needs a new movement.

Those movements are ...... ( B741's ), so I have to get a running one

to replace mine. Some how it died on me but it was a choice used one

I got from a guy last year. All three are Chrono's, , but I want a regular diver

dial one later on. I might convert one of them later to a regular dial if found.

Guy I got it from used it only 6 times he said, then he got a ....... Rolex

then boxed it and dresser drawed it. Everything came too ......
