Got myself a 6309-7040 today. I would really appreciate any comments from the experts in the forum. Thanks for looking.

Congratulations to an awesome watch! Yours seem to be all original aswell. You got the correct flat hands and the fourth dial code, assembled in Singapore if I'm correct. Enjoy!

Looks like the more rare dial "6309-704MT" aka Singapore dial. Nice find edit: dnill beat me to it

Beautiful watch, and it looks completely legit. But Seiko collectors don't call them "Turtles". That's an Ebay thing, and it started it SE Asia. :puke:

Lol...it's a minor niggle. We here just call it "The 6309". I know, I know what you are thinking..." how original!"

Looks like a nice catch to me, enjoy it! Hmmmm, I don't have one of those dials...might be a good reason to buy another.

A good example! Everything except the hands appears to be original. I may be wrong but I see a couple of tell tale signs that they are AM. The circle on the end of the seconds hand is too small. The width of the lume in the arm of the minute hand is too narrow. The points on the arrow of the minute hand are pointed; they should be slightly rounded. Proper OEM hands shouldn't be too difficult to find. You can check it out here ... wristsushi.proboards.com/thread/3019/6309-hands-oem

That is one nice one too. I just love that old look to it. That's my kind of collecting 7dfe79adc2f0. Glad you got it too its a :winner:. I would just leave it as it is. Enjoy every minute using it.
