Decided to pull my finger out and sort out my 62MAS after looking at it for a year or so. New crown and crystal needed, it had a 6105 crown on it. Believe or not Rod here in Brisbane had both and original too. Great start and had a meet up and coffee at Rods place on the northside. Next guy in the mix hal0eight in Adelaide . Watch and parts sent, Adrian was straight onto it, but soon found out the stem was trash. So Rod to the rescue again and he come good with a nos one. Adrian also found fault with the winding intermediate gear . Again Adrian was able to source one asap in Adelaide. So thanks to these 2 great watch guys on this great forum .I have being able to get my 62mMAS up to speed and on the wrist. No further work will be needed as I'm very happy with the end result and leaving the dial and hands as is. Thanks again Rod & Adrian, next cab off the rank is a basket case 6138-0030. But thats another story down the track. Thats better. all marks and dust on the crystal are temporary . In real life not a mark on it . Thanks for looking, Yorkie

Superb, Fantastic when it all comes together, just on Adrian he retored my Omega Mega Quartz it was a basket case when I got it, but with patience and ability to source parts around the world I ended up with a beautiful restored watch that has only lost a few minutes since early 2014 when I got it back. Cheers Mark

Thanks Mark and Tony! I miss that Omega. It is so nice. Yeah that intermediate lever was a bugger of a thing, You didn't know there was a problem with it until you got it under some serious magnification. Basically the gear teeth were munged out when when you went to do setting with the crown, it was really dodgey. It would crunch around and only kind of work. If anyone needs one of these I can source probably around 10 more. They're a unique part to the 62xx series movements. Stefan has them in stock too.

It looks really nice, and I don't mind that bit of wabi at all. I love a happy ending...
