I'd like to say it's nothing serious, but I'm an addict...it's serious. I sent my beloved Snorkel off to FL last week, and for some reason, it's now made 2 stops in PA. It has a scheduled delivery date of the 24th, unfortunately, they aren't even close to the proper destination. How do you go from CA, to FL, via PA? Anywho, please keep your fingers crossed, I'd really rather not lose this one.

Will keep my fingers crossed Tim but it's tough because I too am holding my breath over some watches I sold to Luke in NZ over six weeks ago. They have yet to arrive. Wonder if they wound up in PA too?
Gotta love logistics! Keep the faith brother.

That thing looks insane! I need one!
I once had an AUS Post package come to me via South Africa. They took the SA in South Australia as South Africa. Idiots. The postcode, address and stuff was all correct....imbeciles!

Yes this happened to me twice, the USPS sends the package crazy out of the way and it takes many extra days. You will get it.
Are those the original hands? Fantastic.

Quite a bit of the misdirections happen because of the optical readers. I get packages all the time for Austria and Australia at my PO. I also get a ton of letters meant for the Texas Atty. General because the PO box number is 12017, same as our Zip Code. You may ask, why don't people catch the mistakes? Good question. Comes down to economics. People don't actually "see" the packages until the get to certain place, usually the "final destination". The machines sort the letters and packages and shunt them into bins and tubs, which are then delivered to Post Offices where some poor shmoe like me scans the labels with a hand scanner.

Tracking your package from one end of the states to the other and then back must be stressful, fingers crossed it will end up on track at some point.

The machines sort the letters and packages and shunt them into bins and tubs, which are then delivered to Post Offices where some poor shmoe like me scans the labels with a hand scanner. I've also noticed a trend that issues seem to be a result of incompetence at one end or the other, and rarely in between. I know a few people at the PO in my home town. When I go through them there are never issues. The other employees (many of whom aren't trusted by the ones I know) then good luck. At the same time, for about 2 years I was on the route of a carrier that the PO kept trying to fire and the union would bring her back. We were actually told this by po employees multiple times when we called to complain. With her once a week everyone would let the incorrect mail/packages pile up for a while then we'd deliver them ourselves. We tried sending them back out, but they'd just come back. When I lived in small town Iowa I never had problems because there were only a few workers and it was obvious they cared. Sending out of Chicago when I lived there was hit and miss.

You'll get the watch Tim . . . don't worry.
Happened to me when I sent one to Spencer. I forget whether the snafu was on the way there or on the way back but it eventuallly got where it was supposed to. IIRC, it was my Dad's LeJour . . . . that would have been a bitch to lose!
