I tried to avoid wearing this latest acquisition. This SKX009 was going to be a quick flip after I replaced the crown. The crown is taking a bit of time to get to me so I put it on a Zulu (which I don't really like) but I really like the way this watch looks and it is running -2 seconds from last night at around 7:00 PM. I new when I was in trouble when I started looking for a bracelet or perhaps leather last night.

Decided to go vintage today. Hey Rene - just the right amount of patina! I hope all other US Forum members have a great Thanksgiving weekend. Cheers to all others (assuming you're not celebrating). D.

I put a new strap on this one to see if I could love it otherwise it is going to be taken out back and shot.

That watch led to you marrying Chrissy?

Posted this in yesterday's thread by accident. Went running despite ice & snow, wearing my internally modded SKX173 (it's got a 7S36A under the hood). Took a digger, so this watch got a baptism of inadvertent thumping. No issues.

Is this one a redial? I put a new strap on this one to see if I could love it otherwise it is going to be taken out back and shot.

Found this one I'd forgotten about, lurking on it's own in a box. Thought it looked lonely so am wearing it tonight.

No it's a genuine NOS Zodiac dial and Tag Heuer hands on a new Rhonda quartz movement in a Otto Frie parts house case.
I had planned on using this dial on my beater built with parts house parts but the dial was to thick for the Tissot ETA 2824 movement I had.
It's probably a good thing though as my beater is one of my favorite watches.

Seiko watches can handle it but our aging frames maybe not so much

Everything survived, even my iPhone which landed between my left hand and the pavement. I get more sore every year, but I hate that feeling that my body is slowly falling apart, so I'll keep fighting. I wish we had space for some strength-training and cardio equipment in the house. Someday.

Just got this in the mail today. I really used to not like these things but there's something weird about Monsters that is just really hard to hate. Edit: Just came back inside. It's not even dark in here or anything... HERE'S what it looks like in the dark... No long exposures or HDR filters like some people are fond of using.
