I just received a really nice used but nice Yabokies bezel insert today but am having a hell of a time getting it to fit all the way in! How can I press it in all the way w/o bending it or having to sand it? TIA

Problem solved........ I beveled the backside of the insert a bit and it almost fit then I discovered that the insert was bent a bit! I then out a rigid piece of paper over the top and gently hammered the insert into place........presto.........here is the result!

Looks good and appears to be tilted slightly inwards as the originals were. Glad it worked out. What's left for the full restore?

Its one of Yabokies inserts and looks identical to OEM Only thing left now for full restore is a OEM dial! Edited to add: The AM dial I got from Larry looks pretty damn nice and the hands that Louis sent are a perfect match (lume wise)

Rene you looking good now , and you are almost there. Your dial is almost found, well you only need one to finish. It is worth the wait Rene, you just watch. Congrats on a job well done. 7dfe79adc2f0

Did you make sure the triangle at 12 lined up with the chapter ring and clicks on the bezel before you hammered it in?

I usually fit the empty bezel on the watch, insert the bezel insert at the top with 12 lined up, and then flip it over and press the watch lightly on a flat surface face down to seat the insert. If it doesn't want to go in easily then it is time to get out the sand paper and file it down at the high spots and repeat until it fits.
