I think this completes my 150m collection, but you'll have to wait for a group photo until my 6217 gets back from Ft. Collins. Unfortunately the crown doesn't really seem to screw down at all, it just barely seems to catch on some threads. How do I determine if the case is shot?

Looks good 7dfe79adc2f0
The simplest way to test the crown tube threads is to try using a known good crown. It's usually the crown threads that go first from what I've read.

Looks like a winner, hopefully it's just the crown threads that are messed up.

I've got some NOS 6105 crowns coming in soon if they are the same but I have a feeling they are not.

Might be the Crown threads , but some times it is the Tube itself. We be hoping it is the Crown and not the Tube so you don't have to loose that case.
