I got a free watch again and its a beautie too. Missed one of the Bay, and I just was thinking if I could get one, and it came around yesterday. I changed the battery on this one and it runs for about ....1 hour then stops, then for 45 minutes, then again for a hour when the buttons are re-pushed again.
This is a Seiko 7T34-6A09 Chrono., Quartz Flight Master type. Can anyone give me some points on just what I might need to do to get it back to running. It is in .... Immaculate shape and no wear or scratchs on it, so I want to know just what I can do to it to get it fixed. Possibly might need some new parts or service ? Never did these so might have to go out to fix if it needs it. Thanks for any reply back on this one. Hope I can get it fixed. This is my first one like this so I want to keep it if at all possible. A little small for me but I will use it if fixed. Problem here there is no parts, so I might have to order one some where
Also can these movements be bought yet ? If so I would like to fine one if possible and where would I go for it ? Also where is the movement code number found on these. Aloha and thank you very much. LongBike Louis.

Aloha , SpinDoctor, Thanks for the re-ply back appreciate it too. I check the hands first and they move all right, and the red sweep hand also when the right top button is pressed. Its clean inside also. I put the battery into it and it started up and ran good for about a hour, watching it. Then it stopped again so I re-pressed the button, then it ran again for another hour then stopped again. I tried again it ran for another ....45 minutes again, then stopped it works fine for a while then it stops. I tried another battery it still did the same thing again. It is in Immaculate shape also from a elderly man that gave it to me because he said it stopped working so he bought another cheap one. I never had these, but it is in beautiful shape for being worn. So now I am STUMPED with it. The case and bracelet is in fabulous condition also so it might be worth keeping hopefuly.
It is running now for about ...... Hour ...... 1 1/2 last check now.

Hi, I have 8 or 9 of the 7T34 based watch. It was one of the first models I started to collect and service / restore myself. When I say service, this is a bit of an exaggeration as I haven't actually serviced the 7T34 movement - all I've done is swap in new movements and do all the usual cleanups to case, pushers, crown, stems, gaskets, crystal etc. The 7T34 movement, like all the 7Txx movements is a real b%gger to take apart. Actually, taking it apart is easy, its getting it back together that is tricky. The reason being that the movement is two plastic bridges, bottom and top which hold the keyless works, coils and the gear trains. Here you go: so, to get the top bridge back on means lining up 16 moving parts (gears) - 4 of which are the magnet stators. It can be done (but not yet attempted by me!!). On the watch pictured above, the movement was dead from battery leak (you can se the evidence in the battery well). What has most likely happened to your watch is that either water or battery leakage has damaged the circuit. The 7Txx seems to be very susceptible to this, even when everything looks reasonably good at first glance. Here's what the circuit looks like: there really isn't much to go wrong here. But when it does I haven't found a fix (yet). NOS 7T34 movements aren't readily available (they do come up occasionally on the bay, but tend to be quite pricey). And fully working 7T34 watches tend to command decent prices. Someone is bound to suggest the AC reset as a possible fix. Its worth a try if you haven't done this. Good luck.

, oh my it looks like I may be busy figuring this one out. Well thanks for the replies guys, so it is a rare and complicated one and ...... High Tech also. ( Looks like a new Horror Story for me ... ..., )
Well if I lay it all out and take some pictures of it like I do some stuff , maybe I can do it. If I have a new movement and replaced it, then keep this one and do it I might be fine also. It is a beautie , little small though for me but it would be a shame to just box it. I just got a .... ( 7T32-6G34 parts ) one yesterday for the bracelet, ..... ( $10.00 Bucks of the Bay ) but I chanced to clean it up , tried a battery and it runs great. The wife saw it and stole it for a while. But I am changing it to a strap and keeping the bracelet. The hands and every thing work great but the .... " Stop and Go ", running has to be fixed. Well its to the desk maybe tomorrow or some thing to try and see whats happening to it. _______________________________________________________________ My problem I have been reading on how to put back those hands after it is done. ______________________________________________________________ Thanks for the Movement Picture I am going to print it out and blow it up for reference I think I can do it. Thanks guys for the fast replies back, I really appreciate all of it. If I need more help I'll give a ...... yell for it. Aloha LongBike Louis

Classic signs that it needs nothing more than a complete service. That's it Peter and I was thinking on going and get a parts one for practicing on one of them. Now this nice one came up and I don't like fooling with it just to practice . Maybe I should just get a parts movement some where to practice on it. You know for a practice .... Autopsy . Then if I get it wired then try fixing this nice one. How terrible when you don't know anything about them, but that's another challenge right ? Maybe some one has a old dead movement I can score to do the ...... Autopsy work on it.

Since I had not seen the inside of this caliber before; it was easy for me to say it probably just needs a service. Now I think that it would be a nightmare! Best to do a mini service...just re-oil the pivots that are accessible from both sides without separating the two plates. I never realized how many plastic parts were in these movements. That is not a bad thing as most of these plastic parts are likely self lubricating. Keep an eye on Ramon's(thewatchcolletor) auctions. If a donor is going to show up anywhere it's there. Grab one of those and put the semi good one away until you've practiced and know how to do the reassembly.

Aloha Peter, Thank you very much Sir for the reply of this matter. ( I have a parts 7T32-7G60 ) here that I got from John Linder of the ...( TOF ), and I opened it and am studying it and I am going to chance it in stripping and then put it Back together It is a Non-runner anyway so no problem to try it. This one is very choice and I was thinking I might just send it out to someone that does them and see what can be done for it. I will try to look at it though and it might just be needing a light service so I might try it, ( Just the light oiling Part.) I'll have to find someone on here that does them and see what the prices are also. I'll let you know how I do in the near future. Again Sir thanks for the email back. LongBike Louis S. ================================================= Looked at the ( 7T34 ) again with my little Microscope, and the battery did not leak, but just went ......... DEAD. So it is very possible a service has to be done on it. Now to find a ..... " Watch Doctor ".
