Got this for lunch money but listing didnt say it had 14mm lugs. I presumed it would have 18mm. The leather strap that came with it is not only boring but a tiny bit short. What do you guys suggest would go well with it? Thanks.

14mm is quite small, more ladies size. You could think of using a Bund style strap to give it more width. ...like with older WW1 and II watches.

Your new watch has what is referred to as an integrated head. That means it was designed for a specific style of bracelet which has obviously gone missing a long time ago.
You have a couple of options; search for a bracelet with the 14mm link; put it on a bund as Thian suggests or have a strap custom made that will be notched to fit the 14mm gap

Just decided I'm going to buy a suitable 20mm leather strap and notch it. Seen a tutorial and it looks easy. Just have to decide on colour of leather.....
