No Christmas watches for me this year. I do have almost enough coin salted away to have two of my watches serviced and that will happen sometime after the first.

My wife was rather insistent about me supplying her with a list this year. I told her a tripod, some of those CaseBudi watch travel cases, and a good beater watch for work....I asked her to get me this one: I'm a bit of a Casio junkie anyway...this one's solar so no battery worries...plus these things are tougher than a pine knot.

I was resawing some tight knot pine once and one knot that wasn't so tight was shot out of the saw, just under my arm pit and penetrated the door on the shop truck! I often wonder what it would have done if it had been an inch or two higher

Thats $1200.00 you could have put towards a new car/truck! I live within my means. Growing up without shit teaches you that. Sometimes you try to hard to forget where you came from. It was junior year in high school that I realized that I didn't need to try to impress others and keep buying the fancy jeans and clothing and jewelry. While it is nice to spoil yourself every once in a while the short lived instant gratification doesn't last. I use my roll hunting finds to finance any new coin or metal purchases. If it wasn't for the $10 watch challenge I don;t think I would have bought more than 1 or 2 watches this last year. I already regret spending the money on my Tacoma this summer and wish I would have used it to finally move down south.

I finally pulled the trigger on a Giugiaro reissue, the tan one with orange pushers. Gift from me to me. It's making its way to me from Japan and I'm already freaking out that a delivery attempt will be made while I'm in Vermont skiing between Christmas and New Years (with the world traveler, of course)

For me I am not getting any for Christmas because I got them so far. My wife says those watchs piled up can have lights put on them for a Desk Top mini Tree to be made. But I have enough till ..... " January 1'st ". Then I might start again to see what I can get. I have a Dive computer now thanks to a few good friends, also a ... Suunto Dive computer , but this SKX 173 still does its job well. But I still have two Aqualands to complete and they will have to wait. So Christmas will be my ..... " Lay Off " .... till January 1'st . But I still have a few days left to sneak. 7dfe79adc2f0 But you all know me by now and it is still December in not buying anything till January 1'st. But show me another Aqualand before January 1'st, and this all will be .......... :bs:about me.

The Mrs picked this up for me for pennies a couple of months ago, Can't remember whether it's miyota or Seiko inside, It has the cool 4 or 5 beats a second chrono hand that makes it look a bit mechanical, Wook

I'm always shipping guitars, etc....reaching down into tall boxes....I worry about my watch getting a scratch or a ding.

Well I scored a couple of sweet watches at great prices this week - including a long time goal of a brown Bullhead - so I guess they're my Christmas watches. From my very understanding wife I will be getting a nice Pullman tamper for my other hobby - coffee.

I have 3 incoming, all from the US. A 7548-7000, a 6139-8029 and a SNZH51J1. I'm pretty confident that I'll get the 6139 before Xmas but I'm hoping the 7548 shows up as well, its been in transit for 19 days so I'm starting to get twitchy. Whichever arrives last will be my Xmas watch.

This is my christmas watch, a 6139-8029 It arrived yesterday (having been caught in customs). I'd already ordered a new crystal which I fitted having given everything a very thorough clean and a slight re-finish. It really is in great condition, inside and out. I popped it on the Timegrapher to see how it was running and got +14, 233 and 1.0. That's the best amplitude of all my 6139's. I also like the funky bracelet.

Great to find one on that funky rally bracelet.
