I was wearing a 7546 sport diver, but these just arrived. We've got a Christmas party tonight, and I can't decide which one to wear. Big thanks to Shawn for letting me know about these so I could get them before it was too late.

Christmas party = colour We don't see Samurais much these days...nice catch! Thank you - they were Jonathan's and only appeared during the final estate sale run by a lady who didn't care about watches at all. Shawn found the listing online, and let me know, and I called the lady running it and we worked it all out. By the way that 6139 arrived today thank you very much and Merry Christmas! Let me know when your box arrives.

Hi. I haven't worn this one for quite a while. Some of you may remember it. Its called Desert Storm and was one of the custom watches auctioned some years ago by the combined watch forums to raise funds for breat cancer. Custom yellow dial and ladder hands. Khaki finish all over Seiko diver on a custom Toshi 4mm strap. Rotor is engraved with the ribbon and filled with pink enamel. Cheers Phil

Huge congrats and enjoy the heck out of those two. I'm jealous and I'm sure others are too!

I remember that watch, and the auction. I bought the Black Sea, an SKX171 with paddle hands, a Scubadiver dial and black Cerakote on the case. I asked tor it to be redone because the Cerakote was chipping off quite badly. I opted for a very dark blue on the redo. The coating was chipping again, so I sold it. The buyer stripped it, and the last I heard of it, the chap who bought it from him wanted to verify the origin of the pink ribbon.... Here in blue. As I said, it's a very dark blue. I wish now that I had kept it. I may send the 171 I have now to Jay at MCWW and have him duplicate it, except the ribbon. I think Harold still has the dial and hands.

I do remember you getting yours and agree that it really looks great. I also have found the coating to be fragile also, hence the statement-don't wear it much. I pick days when I think it won't get bumped. Cheers Phil
