Not sure about the old school Seiko serial dating but if you like it buy it.
I can't recall seeing one of the old school with the crown at 4 or with a signed crown.

Somebody on Seiko's assembly line had a little too much sake the night before this one was made!
The dial code can be obscured by refraction from edge of the crystal, but it may well not be there.

Completely original, the dial code is very small on these and can just be seen starting between the 27/28 minute mark and finishing between the 32/33 minute mark. Look closely right on the edge of the bezel/crystal interplay. The 820 movement came out in 1963 so I would say November 1964. The date is also correct but strangely I have only ever seen "O, N, D" in this sequence, which leads me to believe that it is correct but why I don't know :-/ I was once told that it was only watches from 1960, but find that hard to believe. Here are two examples from the same year/period, the second is correct for 1960 I would like to find out the truth of these O,N,D dated watches as it would fill a hole in my knowledge. I thought i had another my first series King Seiko.
