No complaints re the 6139 600x brackets here either. I have both the h-link and president style bracelets and they're fine. I don't have a model with the president style bracelet, but I'm assuming it's close to what's on my 6138-0011. Crap that means I have the wrong links for you! Photo of various president style links for Seikos and my 0011 with its stelux. Some of the bracelets we call Stelux I don't think are in fact made by Stelux. My Stelux bracelets have Stelux stamped on the hinged bit under the clasp. That said I'm probably wrong as usual about this no doubt.

The condition is a plus, that said it took me almost 2 months to sell a March 69 blue dial in very good condition for £300 .. It's on its way to Brasil now

I call the alternate bracelet style a fishbone.. Its similar to the 6138 3000 bracelet and different to the 6138 0011 fishbone which has flatter links. I also have a 6138 0011 with an original Stelux president on it, very high quality and strangely 18mm so a bit narrow at the lugs. The guy i bought it from said it came with the watch when he bought it new, he had no reason to lie. I also have a couple of Speedtimer 6138 0010s with the h link bracelet, different to the 6139 h link, and not to forget the 'double link' bracelets found on Speedtimer 6139 6000 and 6139 6030 ..

Search the title on evilbay. This seller has a buy it now of $1,200.00. Final price - $817! I think this is a little nutty. Even keeping the various factors in mind, age, scarcity of condition, community hype over the past few years, horologic significance of the movement (not of the tenuous association with NASA, Col. Pogue could have just as easily chosen a different watch for his personal use), I was thinking $500-$600 tops.

I think you just pretty much nailed why this watch went for as much as it did. It had a lot going for it. As to the "tenuous" Col Pogue association? Well, Joanne Woodward could have picked another model for her husband Paul Newman to wear in 1972 when he started seriously racing... but she didn't!

I don't wear the yellow ones, either. To me, they are like walking around with a flashlight strapped to your wrist. Too bright, too loud. Yellow makes these watches look almost like toys. Pure Rubbish and Blasphemy!! Yellow is where it's at!

Pure Rubbish and Blasphemy!! Yellow is where it's at! Lol...didn't say they weren't COOL, just said I rarely wear them! I bought one brand new back in 76'. It went well with my first car, a yellow 70' Mustang. I did a lot of cruzin around, Yellow car and Yellow watch on my wrist hanging out the drivers window. I still love mine just as much today.
