When I started to collect watchs and got interested in them and I got some parts and tried really hard to do it. But I did it in the second try following a diagram I found. Man was I happy when it started up and ran good. I made this one and it was my very first .......... " Build ". This is a ...6309-7040 with .... " A/M Insert and a ... A / M Dial ". I paid ....... $32.00 from Ramon ..."thewatchcollector ". I did not know about the .... AM parts and that they were not genuine yet. I got the dial and insert free from a old Forumer, and the rest from Ramon as a ....... " The Very First Parts watch I ever Built ". This one I use constantly to go around all the time. This one has seen a lot of use from the very beginning and still running very strong. Mr. Dahasco "David " , taught me about cleaning up the Crystal. I am very proud of this .... " Old Boy ". 7dfe79adc2f0

The first watch is a right of passage. Mine was a 7T34, I fitted a NOS movement, new crystal and new bezel and caseback gaskets. I learned a lot from doing this and gained the confidence to keep going. Here it is:

That one looks really nice. Just love that Bracelet too. ___________________________________________________ I have this one and it was going good till last week, and I had it all apart trying to fix it, and I got it going again but it still has the same problem.

Peter do you remember last year around March -April I told you I have a 6309 watch that almost last for (3 1/2 -4 ) days running ? Well this is the one and it still runs like that. It still run's over (3 1/2-4 ) days or so yet. This the best one I have doing that.

Luis, At 3 1/2 to 4 days reserve(84 to 96 hours) your mainspring is not original. Even Spring Drive with the SPRON mainspring only gets about 72 hours. I'm not sure what spring material could even be stuffed into the stock 6309 barrel to give this kind of reserve. Normally this is the kind of performance achieved with dual barrel setups. I think if you manually wind this one(screwdriver on the barrel screw) to a full charge then monitor it, you will find that it does not even reach 50 hours. Sorry, but your claim is outside the realm of possibility for a stock 6309 movement.

I always move things around that's why especially the drawer it is in. Some times I take them out to clean up dust.
