Lovely ¥ 196,500 :*( Spendy, for sure. You can have your pick of 7750-based chronos for less than that, but I don't know that they'll be nearly as nice. These are made with Diashield titanium, not SS. Apparently, it is very scratch resistant but has the look of stainless. For under $2k, it actually seems like a lot of watch compared to what the Swiss sell.

Well, I just picked this up, so I am going to say this one - I like the 50th anniversary SDGZ013 shown in a few posts above. I wish all sub dials were the same color however - dark preferred. I also have the pleasure of having in my possession the 1st limited edition 50th anniversary chrono (so I guess my 50th anniversary chrono is not quite as limited as I thought! - As an aside Seiko does too many of these anniversary things - I booght my watch because I liked it and that's the only reason why - sorry for the rant). One of the more comfortable watches I own. Not quite as "tool" as the SDGZ013 shown above. Each has its merits. I gravitate towards tool, but I have been known to put on a suit in order to pay the bills, so having a more genteel watch or two comes in handy at times.

Beautiful! Are the push pieces and crown in the same plane? In other words, is it an integrated or modular chronograph movement?

Its an 8R28A movement and it looks like the pushers and crown run in pretty much a straight line. There is a fair amount of info out there on this movement if you are so technically inclined.
I will say it runs pretty accurate for a chrono and one of the most impressive features of this watch to me is that the crystal almost melts away. I blows away my Grand Seiko on that aspect. The "super clear" coating on this watch trumps anything else I have seen, so Breitling, Rolex, Sinn, Omega, GP, as comps. I have had non WIS friends notice the crystal's clearness and comment on it. Its stainless. It would be kind of cool it it were diashield titanium. This watch gets more compliments than any other watch I own.

SDGZ013 I just learned about this one recently.... I want it bad... really bad... I've got a watch fund getting ready for a vintage Omega Mark II but this one is putting it in danger! I mean just look at it!!! Don't be ridiculous. Stay on course.
