....these are both 67-9119 chronographs from the 1970s, but what's different between the two?: Stephen

I hate this....usually because it's something obvious and I feel like an idiot.

The one on the right doesn't say Citizen in the 9:00 text. One is on a bracelet the other on a strap...

The one on the right has a painted bezel ( I read all posts) and has been in the sun a lot more than the one on the left.

Apart from the colour of the hands, they have different script either side of the 8 o'clock sub dial. Perhaps intended for different markets as one clearly has 'Japan 8110' while the other has 'P-Japan 8110'.

Is that a tiny suwa symbol above the dial code on the right?

Perhaps intended for different markets as one clearly has 'Japan 8110' while the other has 'P-Japan 8110'. You got it Pete It's hard to see but it's P-JAPAN-P 8110, the other is just JAPAN 8110. The 'P' indicates the use of Promethium in the lume, a mildly radio-active element. Citizen sometimes used this but not every dial would have it even on the same models. The bracelet on the left one is also original, whilst the strap on the right one is a modern one. On the basis of these two, the Promethium lume doesn't last quite as well as the other - this has been observed by another collector too. Stephen

Very cool. I didn't get close. I just thought the one on the right had not been refinished in a lathe and the lume looked brighter. I prefer my Citizens more than my Seiko's I am sorry to say folks.

Stephen , is the case on the left slightly longer then the right one ? And the left one is it re-touched or re-finished on the case surface ?

Hi Louis, the cases measure the same - the one on the left has been lightly re-finished by the look of it, it is only really noticeable in artificial 'down lighting'. Stephen

Stephen Thank you Sir in asking things like this I can learn more about thing also. __________________________________________________________ Also Sir do you carry stems for this Model of Watch ? I was given a 7T34-6A09 parts watch and I am going to fix it when I can find a new movement for it. But the main ( Hour Hand Stem) is rusted out. But I cannot remove the crown on too. So I think I have to find both. First time with a watch like this one... Woosh. I need to inquire about these if possible Sir. If you can return a PM it be fine to know about them. Aloha and thank you Sir , LongBike
