This one. Just arrived yesterday. It's a '72 6139-8002, and would have been, uh...brand "spankin'" new when Ms. Lovelace became infamous.

My 3rd watch of 2015 arrived from Hong Kong this week, a lovely 7009-5010 that needed a little attention. It only cost $11.50 (plus postage, which was more than the watch!!) You can see from the sellers pictures that it had a nasty ding at 6pm, and also the second hand was missing. That said, I really liked the dial and it looked in pretty good condition. Some work today has resulted in this: even better!! It took me a while to suss out how to get the crystal out.

Well holy shit, you do learn something new every day! I typically think of former NHL great Frank Mahovlich when celebrating my birthday. He and I were born on the 10th as well. Now I have to think of Linda Lovelace as I'm gobbling down some sausages at Denny's today too? Good grief....going with the TST on this now "extra special" day.

This is Mikey's 6309-7290 that he sent to me to fix up... I had to replace the balance as the hairspring was twisted and I couldn't get the coils concentric and not touching on compression. A new balance assembly fixed that up. The watch got a complete service, new gaskets(bezel, case back and crown) and new crystal along with a new bezel with new insert. With all the new gaskets; the case tested good to 4ATM. It is probably good for a lot more but that is the max pressure I can expose a watch to in my 'chamber'...good enough for washing the dog at 60 feet below The nice Nato is one of half a dozen different nylon straps Mikey sent me! Pardon the dust in the pic...it's all on the outside If the watch continues to perform as it has for the last week; it's heading home on Monday.

Now that it looks and runs good beat the hell out of it for the next week during "testing"

Now that it looks and runs good beat the hell out of it for the next week during "testing" I don't think Mikey would appreciate that. He already sent me a 7548 case because the original 7290 is all gouged and marked up.
