Now that it looks and runs good beat the hell out of it for the next week during "testing" I don't think Mikey would appreciate that. He already sent me a 7548 case because the original 7290 is all gouged and marked up. I remember watching soem show on TV about classic cars and there was a guy who specialized in concourse correct and winning vintage Corvettes. Your would pay your world reknowned Corvette restorer 250K to get your 1963 split window 100% perfect with not a ripple or pinhead in the paint and body and no marks on the undercarriage and not a missed stitch in the upolstry and then you paid this guy $25K to phuk your car up back to factory spec as it left the factory in 1963. He had all the specs on production dates and paint problems for VIN# runs and the whole 9 and he would take a paint pen and mark X's at all of the inspection points and orange peel your new $30K paint job and misalign the latch on your glove box just like it left the factory. What a deal for breaking your car If you don't "real world" test it how can you be sure it is ready for anything the world can throw at it? Don't ask, don't tell as long as when the owner gets it back he is happy (and if it goes on a beat run keep it secret til both sides are satisfied)

This is Mikey's 6309-7290 that he sent to me to fix up... I had to replace the balance as the hairspring was twisted and I couldn't get the coils concentric and not touching on compression. A new balance assembly fixed that up. The watch got a complete service, new gaskets(bezel, case back and crown) and new crystal along with a new bezel with new insert. With all the new gaskets; the case tested good to 4ATM. It is probably good for a lot more but that is the max pressure I can expose a watch to in my 'chamber'...good enough for washing the dog at 60 feet below The nice Nato is one of half a dozen different nylon straps Mikey sent me! Pardon the dust in the pic...it's all on the outside If the watch continues to perform as it has for the last week; it's heading home on Monday. Thanks Peter. That looks better than I dared to hope. Now I need to figure out how to get Oscar to -60'.

I'd rather have this one looking good, along with the 729x that Spencer modded for me Sinn style. No burnouts here, please. Jesse James can be cool, but his a$$hole side shows too often.
