Howdy, folks!
I've found that if I need to know something about a Seiko, go where the Seikos are. I've been on SCWF for a while, WUS, NAWCC, and I spend most of my time on HF. I don't think I set out to be particularly loyal to any watch brand, but it turns out that Seiko is one that I keep coming back to - from the new stuff to the vintage stuff. I seem to have a particular affliction with the 7546-powered sports/divers. I've got my first 6139 chronograph incoming right now, so that's what I'm researching right now. Looking forward to learning a bunch from you folks!
Thanks, Clair

Thanks, folks!
Yep, a Mopar guy - picked up the watch habit when my first boy came along... could tend to him easier when I was tinkering on watches in the kitchen than when I was tinkering on my old Plymouth out in the garage. Now that he's over 9 and his little brother is coming up on 7, I've got a little more time to tinker on the Plymouth again. Nice to work on BIG bits and pieces again for a change.
Back on topic, the New Girl (from 1973) arrived yesterday. Bracelet was not original, and about 2 links too short, so I found a super thin NATO to mount her up:

Holy COW, this case doesn't tolerate much strap thickness at all. I tried mounting an Omega shark mesh bracelet, but the mesh wire was too thick. I'm going to have to be pretty careful about finding a bracelet for this one. I'll start a thread to that effect after doing a little more research first.
Thanks again for the welcome!
