Aloha , OK this might make your "HAIR STAND UP " and give you the "CHILL'S " and some mean " FLASH'ES ", but I am asking this.
I was sitting here last might and looking at my long overdue 6306 Watch. Ok this is what I would like to try and do for this type of watch being that these .... " TWO PART's " are hard to find . OK I am going to ask this : Does anyone have a broken or won out ..(6306-7000).... BROKEN HACKING LEVER , that is no longer good to use. Note: REASON ..... ( The Challenge is on to make them. ) I am quite sure the same plate can be used also, ( I used a (6309) one with it as a trial. ) ((( Note: Maybe just a conversion of them to be milled down to meet the spec's. ))) I decided that since I can't find one I want to try making a few ....... LEVER's and the PLATE , since they are ...."RARE "around to find. I want to produce a couple with my old ... Milling Doogie I have here. Also anyone might have the ...... (Specification to them for my sizing and measurements). Worn out ones can be used as ... SAMPLE'S ....if there are some around. A rough .... ( Schematic Drawing ) of what I need to do would be just fine to use. I never seen these parts yet because my watch came with out them, or if needed I would make them. I say if none to be found, why not make them if at all possible and it is. I found this on a restoration documentary site for doing these watchs. The Plate is not hard to produce, its the measurements and over all likeness of the .... " LEVER I need ". Buy a worn ( Plate/Lever ) be good to have as a sample. Aloha and thank you for any responses to this posting. Longbike / louis

Louis,
Pete Khun in Australia. Sorry, I lost his e-mail address.
He has supplied these hacking kits in the past and may well have a lever handy. Perhaps someone here still has his contact info.

My 1978 Interchange Guide shows the 61xx and the 6306 using different "second-setting levers".
The 61xx uses the 391610, the 6306 uses the 391601. Worse still, the 6306A is the ONLY movement that uses this part.

Worse still, the 6306A is the ONLY movement that uses this part. I wonder which is correct; the interchange guide or the parts lists. I got the info from the parts lists.

There's two shapes of hack lever. There's the one pictured above and a gold coloured one. If you can swap them? Not sure. But you'll note the main plate has a cutout section for it so it will clear the train bridge. So if you were retrofitting that would be the major challenge. Besides that there are no major issues. The little bridge with the channel wouldn't be hard to mod. normal plate - My 1978 Interchange Guide shows the 61xx and the 6306 using different "second-setting levers". Peter Khun; it will be unlikely that he answers any emails, he has been very ill and has been undergoing long term treatment for this and another depilating illness. Rod
