Hey Guys, I've been flat out this week with the South Australian Entrepreneurs week. The other business I get into is a 3D printing prototyping and design service aimed pretty much at people trying to get a product to market early and without spending a fortune. What makes this on-topic is that one of our key business cases is the S-501 repro tool and how you can use a niche idea with small market cap, and minimal investment, and still make it a viable product. Here's an image of the stall (ours is Innovation Systems)- Right on the corner of the stall, where the wires are hanging over the side, the gold and blue spots are S-501 repro tools. I was flying the flag for vintage by wearing my 6138-0011 and explained to many visitors the issues with servicing vintage watches and how they can be overcome with technology and some innovation. Strangely enough, when you are at these things, people come out of the woodwork "Oh that is like my dad's old watch, I've still got it but it doesn't run anymore". Anyway, that's why you haven't seen any posts. Maybe one day someone will give me millions and I can get tooling to make the rest of the parts we just can't get. Like 6139 stems etc...

Thanks guys. The quest is to acquire more tools, so we can make more stuff.
We are really aiming to make a good business case from low-run specialist parts.

We have that project going on one of the other SEIKO forums right now. I've got some pretty compelling ideas on how to solve it. Very cool! And don't forget metal versions of the plastic 5246/5256 parts...
