So I stopped by Wal-Mart this afternoon to pick up some steno pads (I use them at work....I'm so old school)...and a few other things....of course I wander over to the watch counter....the only "nice" watches they have are some Casio's in the $50.00 to $100.00 range. I see this Casio DW-5600E and I'm thinking of Tony (Cockroach) and his love for his similar Casio that he bought so long ago.....and it has a big old "reduced" sticker on it....no box or papers which is why it probably was reduced...so of course I have to grab it....with as many Casio's that I own I don't need a box or paperwork. Only $25.00 and I bet this sucker will outlive me by years. And yes...I am a bonafide Casio/G-Shock junkie...and I have no idea why....I just dig 'em.

I love me a 5600, it is a super classic design for Gshock next to the 6900. Nice find at 25$ WIN!

Nice find. Even if you could have bought it for $20 grey market on Ebay the thrill of jacking it from the man for half price (plus tax ) will give you more satisfaction every time you strap it on

Well done. $25 is a fine price for a new G. Personally, this model (plus ancestors and siblings) is really the only G-Shock I have ever really cared for.

I agree, I've never been a fan of the crazy newer models. I might try a Frogman if they didn't cost hundreds of dollars. I think classic G Shock is the way to go. Myles

Well, I had to pick up some prescriptions at WallyWorld today, and the thread came to mind, so I checked out the the Casio counter. Lo and behold, there was a 5600E for $25. Needless to say, I glommed onto it.

Now that is a bargain. Well spotted and quickly grabbed.
My DW-5600E is my go to in a rush or spending time at the farm and cottage watch.
