Wow. That is gorgeous. I can see why you'd break your promise for that.

That is an awesome dial. Is the dial textured or just printed? The dial almost looks like rose gold. I think you need to find a strap like this to match the dial

I promised myself that i would only buy two specific watches this year, well i just could not let this one go. Seiko Crown in brown, far less common then the green/blue version. Hey! A guy's has to do what a guy has to do! BTW...that is a stunning watch.

I think you need to find a strap like this to match the dial Josh the dial is textured and would have been a right pain in the a$$ to make, what i love is the linen centre dial is uneven and just like real linen, almost hand done. I've seen the blue/green version and they all are flaking around the edges but this one is close to perfect! You'r right it does need a strap that is unique and patterned, the one on it is just the first strap i pulled from the draw! Rod

Zounds Rod! Don't clown around, jump up and down and go to town with that brown Crown! That has got so many classy features, from the color and the dial design, but I specially love the long curved minute and second hands... - Thomas

I didn't know these models existed! She's a beautiful piece that would go well with a Harris Tweed sport-coat. Lovely.

Yes this is a dead giveaway that the watch is fairly original or serviced by a watch maker. The hands come straight and need to be bent to match the profile of the dial. I've seen quite a few 5717/9's with straight hands that are claimed to be completely original
