I know this one is a 150m Quartz diver, but anyone know the model number/year/value? EDIT - Apparently it's a 7n42-6A00, anyone know anything about this model?

I like the overall appearance a lot. Sort of a mix of Japanese and Swiss looking. Not a fan of the pure flat-out Asian style.
Other than the obvious that a 7N42 which is like a 7N43 without the day, I am clueless Sorry.

Owner is asking $40, I just have no idea as to what they are actually worth.

Looks like it's a Sports 100 . . . so not really a diver per se.
If it's a runner, I'd think $40 is a decent price for such a nice looking watch.

When I said diver, I guess I was more talking about the style. Seller said it only needs a battery, but I need to find out if that is the fact. Would hate to get it, only to find the coil was toast, or the previous battery has leaked. But I agree with you, $40 seems like a decent price.

It's hard to tell from the photo but the inner edge of the bezel looks like it has seen a lot of rubbing and scratching. The 7nxx series of movements is just Seiko's current entry level that goes into everything around the price point. If the watch runs and the bezel isn't as beat as it appears; this would be an ok buy at $40.

No way of knowing if it's just the battery, since the owner is not willing to check into it...selling as-is (not currently running).

You know it wouldn't be getting a lot of wrist time. Not worth the risk.

That was my New Years resolution...thin the herd and fix what I got...new crystals, hunt down original bracelets, that kind of stuff. I'm trying not to pull a trigger on anything unless it really is too good to pass up ( $50 6139 or 6309 ) Rob
