Thursday is my day off. I always stop by this ratty looking indoor flea market place just to check it out. The flea market is an old McCrory's location and is just chock full of junk. This is the same place where I found my $6.00 Casio Ana/Digi that I wear on occasion: Today I'm looking in the glass showcase where they keep the watches and I see this watch with no bracelet or strap sort of crammed in the corner....so I ask to see it...lo and behold it's an older Seiko "Sports 50" and the darn thing is actually running. I ask "how much" and they tell me $5.00 since it has no bracelet or strap.....so I say "how about $2.00 plus tax"?...they come back with $3.50....and we finally settled on $2.50 plus tax. It's a 7N43-8B20....it has a very dark green dial (looks black in the photos)....a faux bezel that doesn't turn....and it needs a crystal as the current one has several scratches on it...not terrible but bad enough to warrant a replacement. Oh yeah...the lume is still pretty good on it too. I've never seen one before and, although it's not a collectable piece, I always enjoy finding a bargain.

nice one! I just googled Seiko Sports 50 watches and those skeleton type hands are legit! The gold trim was also very come for those years, 1984? from your serial #......gold/green color combo! gotta love Seiko color sense hahaha! Like my new Alpinist with green dial and gold colored hands and markers BTW that Casio AMW find is the cat's ass! That is the newer version with black case, rectangular markers and better lume. I had 4 of the older models and one newer one like yours! Great score!

Nice find, but it's not my cup of tea... Nor mine...but for $2.50 how could I say no? Heck....it only cost me a few cents more than a gallon of gas.

Nice score. And the gold plate isn't even worn through and the crystal is actually legible

Nice pick up that one, and especially the hands look neat. Hey $2.00 - 3.00 dollars cannot go wrong. Clean her up and get it going good ..... Why not :winner: Aloha Louis

Tell ya' what, I'll offer you $3.50 and you can make a quick buck.... Congrats. I like that design, not a copy of much of anything with a unique and pleasing look. Nice hand set for sure. Research shows it came on some sort of 2-tone gold and SS bracelet. Might look good on that or perhaps a super dark green leather.

To be honest, I like the gold, after looking at it again, it almost looks like a modern bronze look and it is modded but to know it is all original makes it cool factor...
