Hi all,
I am looking for a replacement gold colored medallion to complete a vintage grand seiko. Of course an original medallion would be my first choice but I find it impossible to source. I remember reading about a seller providing "aftermarket" medallions a some time ago but can't seem to find any. Does anyone know where to find these badges? Any help will be much appreciated.
Have a great day everyone!
David

Nice search check results. Remind me, how does one bid on ebay Japan? You need dome sort of proxy web site or something, don't you? Yeah you need a proxy service. On fromjapan.co.jp, you place a deposit via wire or PayPal, and can use those funds to bid, directly or via sniper (bid placed within 5 minutes (not seconds) of close). Fair warning though, YJ auctions extend the auction by 5-10 minutes, so snipe is a bit of a misnomer. If you win, you pay by wire (at the whim of your bank's exchange rate, charged a transaction fee, and kind of a pain) or your deposit (easy, peasy but costs 5%). I usually just PayPal the deposit, and pay using the transferred funds. They then collect the item from the seller, and you can aggregate items (they'll hold them for up to a month), and then ship them together via ground/ship, EMS, or FedEx. I just use EMS (except when I bought heavy manuals) and I've never had customs trouble. It was a little confusing at the start, but I've never had anything missing/damaged/poorly packed, and in general it seems like a pretty professional outfit. Hope this helps.

Thank you estrickland. Very informative. I really appreciate it. That's the best description of the process I have ever seen.
Makes me want to try my hand at it.

Thank you! Have tried a search via buyee but no luck. I will look into them. Also thanks for the tutorial on how to get the stuff home.
