I don't know if it qualifies as non-vintage, but there are the Seiko Hi-Beat 4s15/4s12 SUS GMT models that are now discontinued. They're from the late 90s/early 2000s I believe.

Not Seiko but Orient had a few models. There was also the older Orient Start Explorer 2 (probably not under $500 if you are even lucky enough to find someone selling one) And the current Orient Start (although not under $500)
