We don't have that chain here but a sure sign of a chain that is having cash flow issues is filling the store with non target market crap like this.
Expect a chapter 11 announcement any day!
I remember one of my major competitors in computing started stocking rain water tanks...wtf? Literally half the store was vacated as well as part of the car park to stock these tanks. Really bizarre. Before long they went from something like 25 stores to 2.

I think like a lot of retailers they are "renting out space" on their website and are just playing middle man for other vendors. Years ago when Sears started on their downhill slide if you searched for something on their website thinking you would be buying it from them or could pick up in the store you were lucky to find 1 out of the 20 items that came up actually being sold by them. Same thing with Best Buy. If you were looking for some toner or CD-R's or whatever and you searched their website you would come up with all kinds of 3rd party sellers hocking there wares on there. Just try searching for "DVD" on the Bed Bath site www.bedbathandbeyond.com/store/s/dvd?ta=typeahead

That's a sure way to erode your brand value to nothing really quickly. Bad move corporate.
