This is a 100% original example of an Elgin-branded display-back wristwatch. These were made in the late 60s and early 70s. These are very rarely seen now - not many were made - and few survive. This one is serial-numbered 4848.
17-jewel autowind & handwind copper-plated Swiss AXA / Wittnauer movement is fully serviced, and running beautifully. Watch hand-winds and also winds by wearing. Dial and hands are excellent, with original lume. Original lume - beautiful patina. Linen-pattern case is gold-plated to ten microns - it shows light signs of use. Strap is new.
