This is the essentially the same movement that was used in the 1st auto-wind Grand Seiko/Chronometers, although in a more modest package. Speaking of packages! Hmm, it looks my local post office forgot to charge me some customs import dues! Woohoo! Ah, a familiar tidy brown bundle! We should know by now what seller this came from! Hey, it looks like a bought a Seiko! And here is the interior watch box. Let's pry that open shall we? Oh no! It's jammed! Why does this always happen to me? Luckily I keep an unveiling crowbar handy! There! It is a 1967 Seiko Weekdater 6218-8010, in fantastic condition. Nice hands and markers, a sunburst texture on the dial, with a clean dial and crystal. Inside is a dandy hacking 6218C automatic movement, with its finer "rack & pinion" adjuster. Here in the closer look you can see the nifty "full" day window, and the classic lines of the case design. Here is the hidden crown. The "Common" side. And the still crisp case-back, with the "crowned" dolphin. My unveiling wrist shot. Too bad the black lens glass of my camera obscured some detail from 6 to 10, but you can see what great condition this watch is in. The crown action is smooth and light, the quick-set crisp and it starts up with the just the slightest shaking. I have a feeling this will also prove to be very accurate. Thanks for looking! - Thomas
