This is one of the 6309-836A watches I recently got from Ramon. It was running when I opened the parcel but it was galloping like a thorough bred at Santa Anita race track. Some hack had lifted the balance cock out without making sure the balance wheel was free of the upper plate. Result was a conical shaped hairspring. I managed to get it almost right but it still wants to rub on the underside of the cock when dial up. No problem, I just took a good balance from one of my several donors and then cleaned everything. Reassembled and frshly oiled, it now runs quite nicely. I will regulate it once I have done the case, dial, hands and bezel cleanup. I have a new movement for the other one in the picture. It is missing some parts and there is a lot of rust and other things growing on the movement. The case is good and the crystal is relatively clean. The bezel insert is about the same as the working watch. I also have a better dial with perfect date window surround in another donor. With any luck I will be able to restore these to original working condition and respectable looking shape with just the right amount of wabi The third one will likely become some sort of mod project down the road.

Those definitely look restorable.
A functioning screw down crown and decent bezel insert would be the parts that would kill a project like that.

The bezels on two of them work great with the click balls still clean and functional. The crowns however are nor screw down, probably because they are not dive rated having only a 'water resistant' rating.
