I really like this Dagaz watch. It's a very solid piece and it keeps dead on time. I'm a bit puzzled by the bezel insert . . . I think it's called a "count down" bezel. My question is . . . . what kinds of uses can this bezel handle? I tried using it for cooking on the grill but couldn't figure that one out. So, what is this bezel good for?

I think it was mainly used for timing dives. Instead of measuring how much time has passed, it's used to measure how much time you have remaining. Kind of like the difference between a stopwatch and countdown timer on a digital.

Ok, let's say you are timing something on the BBQ; perhaps something that would normally take less than an hour. If it is a cut of meat that requires 15 minutes; just set the lume pip to line up with the 15 mark. Then when the minute hand reaches the pip, it's done It's just the opposite of setting the pip to the minute hand and waiting for it to reach the 15 minute mark.

This bezel is also handy for a second time zone. Assume you're in New York, but want to set a second time zone for London (+5 hours). Set the 5 on the bezel to noon on the watch, and then the hour hand will line up to the time on the bezel. If going backwards, to say Los Angeles time (-3 hours), set the 9 on the bezel to noon on the watch. Also, if you line-up the pip with the hour hand, you have a rudimentary hours timer on the bezel. I actually find this countdown bezel to be one of the most useful of all possible; I have a 7548 with one on it.

I can see how the outer 1-12 tract could be used to track a second timezone but the countdown bezel still has me
