Thomas, nice PAG40 and though vintage now they are still very nice. I had one years ago when into Gs. Remember though, that model takes 3/4 batteries...can't recall exactly. If you try to replace them yourself, make sure you don't let a contact spring boing out onto the floor!!

Hummmm can anyone pick the movement. An ESA9150 or 9154? It's an esa 9160. It looks a lot like this Tissot.

It's always nice to have a back story to a watch in your collection. However there are a few that I would probably not sell but never can since there is too much history good or bad with said watch. Not sure when they switched from Swiss Army / Victorinox to Swiss Military to Wenger. I like my $5 Wenger and it really deserves more wrist time than it gets. It seems at least the "Red Cross" logo prevailed throughout whatever legal naming rights or ownership issues throughout the transsition although the "original" Swiss Army knife and branded watches uses a slightly different logo.

Welcome back. I wonder how that dial would look in a matching rose gold case.

Well, I guess it was this: "Since [Victorinox's] acquisition of rival Wenger in 2005, it has, once more, become the sole supplier of multi-purpose knives to the Swiss army." link

Well, I was (easily) impressed by a Wenger Swiss Military watch I saw there! It had a cool "wavy" texture to the dial, the hour markers were silver outlined, and the hands had a practical-tactical look, especially the red arrow-headed second hand. It had a uni-directional timer bezel and cool stuff on the case-back! Remember, I had yet to discover the online watch world, and never seen a single Seiko, Orient, Alba and the only Citizens I had seen were those rectangular ani-digital watches. So, I seemed to have pretty good "taste" even then! Here it is as I wore it yesterday: And an older pic, showing the wavy dial texture. Coincidence that you would wear this watch. This was my first watch that got me on my liquid fill kick. I do like the Swiss Military/Wenger but it is impossible to get parts as the company that handles them in the states wants you to send them the watch. I had replaced the crystal with a domed sapphire and filled it up with fluorinert. The wavy dial looked fantastic

here is a low angle shot that shows how the combination of the domed crystal and fluroinert enhance the readability.
