Hello folks, I see this black and gold Seikomatic for sale, and it looks wicked cool to me! But it doesn't seem to be getting any attention, or bids. The seller doesn't say much, about it being authentic or not. Any opinions here? Does it look real to you? Or is his one of those "There were no black Seikomatics!!" kinda things. - Thomas

But, is that proof that it's fake, or real? They say "Guaranteed Authentic", but they also say that about all the purple, yellow and red ones at the bottom of the page?!? - Thomas

Ask the seller for a better picture or a description of what is printed there. Then offer $200 because that's all it could possibly be worth.

Looks good to me also. Gold indices go with gold hands & case colour.

Sorry guys, black dials on early 1960's Seiko's are a sure give away to a refinished dial. They do all look fantastic but it wasn't until around 1964/5 that Seiko had main stream black dials with the "5" and Seikomatic. The mid to high end watches were all variations of white… Once again see my refinished dial KS. wristsushi.proboards.com/post/100050/thread

I would put this Seikomatic in the probably original black dial category. But not this one. - martin
