As soon as I saw this come up for sake, I was excited by the hands and hour markers. The BIN price was too high, so I made a much lower "best offer" and it was accepted!! Woohoo! Ahhh, the tidy, labeled manila envelope! I love buying from nonkun0508 and saitama_jp. They aren't "perfect" but their pictures are detailed and they do a great job of packaging. Saitama_jp is especially good about using the "?" when something may not be original. Another free watch carry case from nonkun0508! I've used these (with some bubble-wrap) when traveling for work and on vacation to hold my "extra" watches. Looks like a watch to me! There it is, a 1966 Seiko Sportsman Calendar 6602-9981. The 6602 us a workhorse Seiko hand-wind movement, with lots of diaflex jewel mounting, but with no quick-set for the date, only the 9pm to 12 am semi-quick-set. What appealed to me was the rectangular hour markers and hands. Very 6MAS in their style! The big smooth crown... The other, plain side... And the very crisp case-back, with a nicely detailed "Seahorse". I love it! Here it is on my wrist, with a copesthetic gray dress shirt. Well, I am very satisfied with that purchase! A quality vintage hand-wind movement, with some very desirable design features and a excellent case-back. Money well spent! Thanks for looking in, I have another unveiling coming out soon! - Thomas

A very underrated watch..Strangely the white dialled watch is a 9981 and the black dialled version is the 9982 and as such use a different crown that is not interchangeable, apart from that everything else is the same

Hmm, $100 for that does seem a bit cheap, especially from you! Any undisclosed issues? Is the crystal scratched to s***? Runs well? Crown operates properly? Too bad there is no Seahorse on the back... - Thomas
