I wanna know who paid 400 plus for a slightly beaten 7002. Is it strange that I'm more interested in what Adrian might have lucked out on in the parts!?

That was a pretty big collection. Was (or is) the seller, Robert Herbert, a known collector? There were some bargains for sure. The panda would hav3 been an excellent buy.

I could be wrong but I think some of the watches are being sold on the bay, try seller horomatics. I noticed he was selling a Bazz the same watch featured in the auction catalog not very common and he has some good vintage seikos on offer as well. Cheers Paul

We suspect watchmaker's estate as there were some tools there as well, not many though. That was a pretty big collection. Was (or is) the seller, Robert Herbert, a known collector? There were some bargains for sure. The panda would hav3 been an excellent buy.

Looks like the person in question, notes that he was a Horologist, he cashed in his chips early at only 56.

I note there weren’t any really high-end pieces. Correct me if I’m wrong.

There weren't. Mainly sport watches, 7002's a decent spread of chronos and endless 6119's. I note there weren’t any really high-end pieces. Correct me if I’m wrong.

That would be him. Film guy and academic with a side thing in watches. Looks like the person in question, notes that he was a Horologist, he cashed in his chips early at only 56.

Well he packed a lot of life in his 56 years, which is way to young to go. I had to google aesthete. That explains why he collected Seikos.

A lot of nice ones in that auction, but $400 for a 7002? I got mine in better condition for less than a quarter of that price. A lot of beautiful 6139s at steal-prices IMO, though.

OK first images. This is the absolute pick of the litter from what I got. Most of it was D grade swiss garbage from the 70's I'm going to put into lots, so I won't bother putting that up here. So, who can pick the serious wins?

There's bag loads of good parts, including rare crystal gaskets, rotating rings and lots of TV dial crystals. As well as that I have bag loads of stuffed 6119 watches (great for 6139/6138 balances/barrels).
There's also a few other case styles where there's like, 15 of the same example.
Also maybe 10kg of bracelets?

Well the three 701x Monaco’s would be considered wins 😃 Then the “rally diver” and spare case, and I like the Arabic numeral sports model... Actually, this one is grab if I saw it:

Hey small, I’m pretty sure the orange dialled one is a 7009. Will it be a xxx9 case though?

Hey small , I’m pretty sure the orange dialled one is a 7009. Will it be a xxx9 case though? I'm guessing no to the XXX9 case ever showing up anywhere but the sates. While it "might happen" I limit my ebay searching to US only. And i'm betting even money the orange dial's a 7006? There are several in that bunch I dig...but i'm staying focused...
