Modern replacement 7C46C in my vintage 7C46-7009 Golden Tuna. If it isn't rude to ask, where did you find the 7C46 movement? My inner hoarder craves a spare for my "Tuna".

Myles never a problem to ask !
I got my 7C46C direct from Seiko spare parts. They still make and sell them.
Also quite a few of the movement houses stock them. Without checking I'll bet Startime Supply or Cousins will have a few any day of the week.

I'll play with my Seiko 2A22! It's a pretty unique movement that you don't read much about, would be curious to see how it performs.

I know the 200m 2A22 divers, such as the 029A, had a cover over the movement, but I'm not sure about this 150m example. This is a Daini Diver, as I like to call them.

I'll join with my 7D56-powered Premier. I'm not sure how accurate they're supposed to be but it'll be interesting to know!

I see Citizen has announced a new 0100 quartz caliber with a +/-1 second per annum rating. Can anyone get one in time for this competition? 😆

Can anybody enter or do you need the secret handshake? I have an Ecozilla that seems to hold strangely accurate time.

Seems to be running a little fast around +2/3 seconds per day, but it's 34 years old and I don't think it has ever been serviced.

Entering as the old (43 years) man of the contest. Out to show those young Seikos, Omegas and Heuers a thing or two. I think the 86xx was a pretty decent movement in its day.

Edit: And that would truly suk, IMO. Then, let in the RCs.

That H558 I posted in the walkthroughs section a while back may be up for the challenge. Some how in a blind squirrel moment I managed to stumble on pretty good performance out of it.

I'll enter my beater Swiss Army Recon, with a Ronda quartz movement that keeps what I think is impressive accuracy, to offset the Japanese contestants.

2- it can’t be a known haq. E.g. high frequency like the percisionist vhp precidrive exceed or any ‘advertised’ high accuracy watches. I’m looking for those quartz’s that fly under the radar in terms of accuracy. Bummer! I have some 70's era Seiko twin quartz models that are crazy accurate. Cool challenge though!

Could you put one of those twin quartz in as a control? And use it to compare to one of your other non “haq” watches. I’d be really interested to see how a vintage twin compares.
